Firefox OS tablet quietly unveiled by Foxconn

In case you have any doubts that Mozilla is going to release a Firefox OS tablet in the future, we're here to tell you that you shouldn't be entertaining those kinds of thoughts at all. And why? Because the Firefox OS tablet is real, and it's here, at least in pre-retail form as seen in the Foxconn booth at this year's Computex expo in Taipei, Taiwan.
The unnamed Firefox OS tablet first went on display beside a number of Firefox OS phones on a table manned by a Foxconn employee, according to a report that was first published on Pocket-Lint. The Firefox OS tablet looks to be equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen display and comes with rounded corners that make it look a bit like the Samsung-made Google Nexus 10.
We know that it's still quite a ways until Mozilla's hardware partners finally release the first Firefox OS phones, but now it's also reasonable to believe that they'll be releasing similarly-equipped (software-wise) tablets as well.
Back in February, we got a chance to speak with one of Mozilla's leading Firefox OS developers. Through the interview, we learned of Mozilla's plans to introduce an all-encompassing computing experience that spans more than just smartphones and tablets but desktop computers as well. Here's proof that they are truly working well towards completing that plan.
In case you missed it, here's the video of our interview with the Mozilla spokesman. We'll keep you updated with the latest information on this Firefox OS tablet as soon we get a hold of it.
